Swing Into Spring•
Posted on March 09 2019
Everyone's saying spring is right around the corner... or at least we hope so.
In honour of dreaming of warmer weather, I've put together a post filled with outfit ideas and activities to do to keep you busy once it finally arrives. If you live in Canada- you already know and have been WAY over this weather for some time now.
Keep this super lightweight knit in your bag to toss on later when things become chilly once the sun goes down. The tie waistband gives a more fitted/feminine look to compliment any outfit.
Okay, so these next items are brand new to us, and we’re already so IN LOVE.
This print is absolutely perfect for the upcoming spring/summer season. The Gallery Kimono is super versatile- if you have a more laid back flirty style, this would be an awesome staple for your wardrobe. Scarf, Kimono + Beach Cover, all-in-one. You seriously can’t go wrong!
Our next item, The Mikaela Dress. It comes in the exact same floral print as the kimono- just a touch more pink- this midi dress has adjustable spaghetti straps and button detailing down the front.
The Carolina Dress is ultimate goals, with ruffle shoulder details and a tie front accentuating the waist. Pair with open-toed flats or a simple pair of strappy sandals.
Summer weekends call for breezy classics. Made from straw, super lightweight, the women's boat hat is trimmed with a timeless wide black band- and pairs perfectly with either dress options, mentioned above.
Things we want to do/ Places we want to visit
Destination: Prince Edward County
The June Motel re-opens for the season on April 5th, so head on down to their super cute bar for some cocktails with your girls- just in time to debut these glorious looks you’ve been curating all winter long. (all while hibernating, I might add.)
From novice to wine savvy, PEC Wine Tours has an experience that everyone in your party will love. Learn about how grapes grow and discuss the world of wine all while touring the best and most famous wineries in The County!
Not into wine or cocktails? No worries! Pop over to The Vic Cafe to grab a coffee before going to The County Collective, to browse trendy goods from Canadian artisans! Or if you have a special place in your heart for our lovely green friends, head on over to Parlour Studio and pick up a new plant baby that’s good for you and your home.
A pizza connoisseur? Visit Norman Hardie Winery for the most amazing wood-fired thin crust pizza- Shan says the smashed cucumber salad is to die for!
Looking for that special spot that no one knows about? Point Petre Wildlife Conservation Area- a beach covered in nothing but softened stone that extends out forever is the most perfect secluded spot for photos and swimming.
I'm sure there's way more fun to be had in PEC, but this was just a taste of the activities that you can add to your next trip up. Hope y'all are hanging in there, the end is near I promise! *everyone affected by SAD rejoices*
Thanks for reading + happy spring! :-)
