Holiday Party Ready

Posted by Shawna Singers on

Yes, holiday party time starts in November!  Be ready.   Party outfits don't have to be a stressful thing, all you have to do is stick to a few guidelines and you can't go wrong.   Black, gold, silver, jewel tones, velvet, and sequins - ready for any get together now and through the new year!

Shannon and I thought it would be fun to share our store picks for the holiday season.  Since we both tend to be pretty casual people, it can be tricky to get all dolled up - this is our version of fancy!

Rumi Ruched Mini Skirt + Day Dreaming Top

First and foremost, you can't ever go wrong with an all-black outfit, so this was obviously going to be my first choice.  Faux leather mini + sheer flowy blouse + ankle boots = party ready!  I threw on a little neck scarf to add a bit of a boho element to my outfit but you can opt-out of that and instead add some sparkly jewels to make it that much more festive.

Sparkle Pant + Simone Top

Party Pants!!  These Made in Italy pants have just the right amount of sparkle - they look classy yet fun, and not too sparkly that you outshine anyone at the party.  These are the most comfortable dress pant you will ever own - they feel like sweat pants but certainly don't look it one bit.  I've paired them with a satin blouse by Gentle Fawn - it has an all-over gold and deep rose floral print.  You know me, I always mix textures and prints!  I'd lean toward my white stiletto pumps here, but if you need something more comfortable, a black chunky heel with ankle strap works.  I've kept the jewels simple on this one, silver stacker rings, small stud earrings, and that's it.  The outfit makes enough of a statement.

Textured Twist Front Jumpsuit

Next up is this emerald green stunner. The beauty of a jumpsuit is that it's one-piece, so no need to stress about tops and bottoms, one and done!  Don't be afraid, it's the same as wearing a dress, except you don't have to worry about crossing your legs when you sit down (much better for your back).  I love the neckline on this, perfect for showing off your jewelry, and the cropped leg will let whatever shoes you choose to stand out. Oh and helllooo, it's stretchy and has pockets!  WIN-WIN.

Main Squeeze Pullover + Black Corduroy Midi Skirt

I love a good midi skirt!  This one is by Dex, a ribbed velvet midi which I've paired with a super soft off the shoulder knit, balloon sleeves, by free Free People.  Because this outfit is simple with solid colours, I've added a little bling, keeping it subtle but sexy with a silver cylinder pendant necklace.  In exchange for the necklace, if I had them, I'd rock some super-oversized silver hoops instead.  I'm not one for matchy-matchy so my brown lace-up ankle boots are what I'd do for footwear with this outfit.

 Geo Boiler Jumpsuit

Yes, this is another jumpsuit, but it's totally different than the first one!  Have you ever said that to yourself to justify adding something to your wardrobe?  Despite the awesome pattern, the style of this piece is a little more subdued but still sexy.  You can control the sleeve length and how many buttons you want to do up. I love the cropped wide leg, and again, POCKETS!!!  You can wear this with ankle boots for a more casual look or go all out with some high heels!

Sparkle and shine this holiday season.  We hope we've inspired you.
